Spreader Bar Hammock
An open, easy-to-use hammock style that allows for simple entry and exit. The handwoven cotton design provides breathable comfort with a flatter, more relaxed feel.
Finished with decorative fringe and wide dark wooden spreader bars, it combines comfort with standout visual appeal.

Designed for convenience, the stand allows you to attach or remove your hammock in seconds, making it easy to pack away when not in use.
Hanging Your Hammock on the Frame
The hammock arms simply feed over the curved end of the stand and loop onto the adjustable hooks on the back. Move the hook up or down to find your perfect hang height and tension.
For greater hanging adjustability, additional rope is also included.
For shorter hammocks, the hooks can be attached to the front side of the stand.

The Mexican Hammock Store is the exclusive NZ stockist and distributor of Cielo Mexican Hammocks, the only hammocks in the world made by a Fair Trade Federation member and certified B Corporation.
Each hammock is 100% handwoven by skilled artisans in Mayan communities throughout the Yucatán, Mexico, using techniques passed down through generations. This craft provides sustainable employment while helping preserve traditional weaving practices and support local communities.
Every purchase helps contribute to growing 'Fundacion Cielo' a registered non-profit organisation working within these communities where there is often economic disparity and lack of employment opportunities to help drive social change, through alleviating poverty, improving health, education and gender equality.
Hammock
80/20 - Cotton/Nylon. Our range of Mexican hammocks are made from cotton (the body) and nylon cord (the suspension arms) for the best in hammock comfort and strength. Cotton corded hammocks have a very soft supportive feel as they stretch and shape perfectly to your body shape. The nylon of the suspension arms provide greater support strength and durability.
Spreader bar, chair and thick cord hammocks are made using a heavier cotton cord, up to four times thicker than standard cotton cord. This creates a more durable hammock while still providing excellent comfort and softness, making it ideal for families or high-use areas.
Hammock Stand
Quality purpose-specific cold-rolled tubular steel. Powder-coated rust-resistant textured black paint finish. Zinc coated assembly fittings.
Each hammock is individually handwoven, with care taken to closely match the colours shown in the images. Due to the handcrafted nature and intricate detailing, slight variations may occur between each piece.
Please note that colours may also appear slightly different depending on your screen or device settings.
Mexican hammocks are designed to last for many years with proper use care.
- Store indoors when not in use to prolong life and vibrant colours
- Avoid prolonged exposure to UV, rain & damp conditions
- Hand wash gently with mild detergent if required
- Allow to air dry completely before storing
Hammock Stands are suitable for full-time outdoor use, but we recommend packing down and storing them inside over winter when not in use to prolong their life and keep them looking good for years to come.
With simple care, your hammock will remain soft, strong, and comfortable for years to come.

The King Size Spreader Bar Hammock is absolute heaven! Absolutely worth the extra $$$ over a normal hammock. In hindsight we would have gone for the wooden stand, but this is still superb!!! Great value as well. Really pleased with the service too, all round amazing :)
