Mexican Hammocks

Mexican Hammocks Ltd have recently made a small move north. From our beginnings in November 2007 we have been based in Brooklyn, Wellington. A great spot, but not so accessible. I don’t think our courier enjoyed his daily climbs up and down our 50 odd stairs. Especially when shipping a hammock stand!

We are now based in the beautiful Paraparaumu, in the Kapiti region. A lovely sunny spot with a beautiful beach, river and the ideal hammock climate. A great central location, only 50mins from Wellington, and a bit closer and more convenient for our northern neighbours.

While we still don’t have a shop – as we believe we can offer much better, faster, service and better prices without one, we do welcome viewing by appointment. We have a large amount of information on our website pertaining to all our products, and are always happy to receive any queries via phone or email. However if you are in the area and still feel you’d like to have a look/feel/test. Just give us a call or email and we’ll arrange a time for you.

We are still able to offer the same quality and speed our courier service – Castle Parcels and Posthaste, who provide overnight delivery for the North Island and 2 working day delivery to the South Island. If you order prior to 1pm daily we can have orders collected the same day also.

We continue to offer the same great range of products, our hand-woven Mexican hammocks, hammock accessories, Mexican blankets, Baja hoodies, ponchos and Mexican lucha libre Wrestling masks. We also hope to have our very popular hammock stands back in stock by the end of this month.

As we go into the last week before Christmas you still have time to order and receive your purchase from Mexican hammocks.

With overnight delivery within the North Island for orders received prior to 1pm and only two business days delivery to the South Island (eg order Monday, receive Wednesday) you still have a few more days up your sleave to order and receive. Orders to RD areas (rural zones may incur and extra day or two). Still the earlier the better to be sure of arrival, but we will get your order out that day, and provide tracking on every order.

All orders receive free shipping, and can be sent directly to you or the gift recipient.

So for those last minute gifts, and difficult people to buy for we have all your needs covered. Not only do we have a great range of hammocks, but also beautiful Mexican blankets, Baja hoodies (as seen in ‘Canvas’ magazine), Mexican Ponchos, and Mexican Lucha Libre Wrestling masks for a bit of dressup fun or for the kids.

We know it can be hard finding that perfect gift (oh just found it – a Mexican hammock, hammock stand or blanket?!) in time and then having the time to go and purchase it. However there is not that problem shopping online – it is part of the beauty of online shopping.

You can shop through our online store hammocksonline.co.nz 24 hours a day-  no closing times, without the crowds and sales people. Simply order and pay securely online, then rest in the knowledge that we’ll take care of the rest.

We aim for speed, and are fully stocked! We will turn around your order the same day if received before 1pm, and provide tracking on all orders over $30 in value. We use Castle Parcel/Post Haste couries and as a guide for our deliveries please see below;

Please note courier delays can occur due to increased workloads over certain periods and any quotations of delivery times by Mexican Hammocks Ltd are made in good faith but are estimates only and Mexican Hammocks Ltd shall not be bound by such quotation. At our discreation we may also use the services of NZ Post for some areas and items as required.

So while you can just about leave it till the last moment and sure we’ll do our best to get it to you, earlier is still always best.
