The wait is over! We have finally received our order of Russian pine wooden arc hammock stands. Interest in these stands has been very high, so available stock will first be offered to those parties who expressed interest prior to their arrival. But don’t worry this first lot has been a test trial, and we will have more stands available in the near future, and stock will be held on hand.
We have been testing these out today and have a large amount of photos for you to get a good view of the stands along with various hammocks. The stands are great, very solid and heavy (45kg) and really great looking. They fit the various hammocks well, but some hammocks do require the stand be adjusted slightly for better fitting. This will be linked to below the photos. The stands are all factory produced and made in China from sustainable Russian Pine. We will check every one prior to shipping ourselves. But please understand these have been sea shipped from China and like any factory produced product there is always the small chance of minor cosmetic discrepancies. We believe we have found a great quality hammock stand which we offer to you at a great value price (that we have emailed to you). These type of stands do retails elsewhere in NZ for upwards of $1200. With the only main difference being the type of wood the stands are produced with.
These first few images show the stand being put together. This took approx 30mins and with more practice I would say this would only take around 10-15 minutes.

Due to the number of photos, I have decided to create separate blog entries for the stand along with the various hammocks we tested in it today. Please click on the links below to see more info on this;
We finally had a couple of sunny days here in Wellington and I used the good weather to quickly put together the following video. This just shows how to safely and easily get in and out of your Mexican hammock.
The hammock shown in the video is of the Mexican King Size and in Nylon cord. The only other thing I forgot to mention in the video is prior to getting into your hammock is to just check your clothing is free from any attachments (buttons, velcro, buckles etc) that may catch and pull or disturb the weave of the hammock. Otherwise you may just need to turn the sound up, watch the video and then go back to relaxing in your hammock!
